Empower communities through Active Mobility, building sustainable cities that are equitable, healthy, and environmentally friendly.
Milestones Accomplished
With more than 450 members in CYCLEmmunity, 300 cyclists in Critical Mass Addis Ababa, 50 graduated students in Cycle Techiyalesh, and 20 amazing volunteers teaching bicycle, road safety, and maintenance skills, we have already achieved a significant number of milestones in the last years.
We participated in and hosted over 30 events with national and international stakeholders.
Our social media reach targeted 1.2k followers on Facebook and more than 600 followers on LinkedIn and Instagram each.

Bicycle Farm Addis
Youth Empowerment & Job Creation
The focus on youth and women empowerment is vital throughout all activities. Youth are trained and enhanced in different projects to become healthy, strong, and sustainable for social change. Creating Green Jobs benefits the environment, economy, and humans. It also uses Bicycle Farm Addis, a community center for bicycle mechanics.

Our Women's Bicycle Training promotes gender equity, women empowerment, and social inclusion.

Active & Sustainable Mobility and Road Safety
EMi’s projects focus on widening and strengthening Active and Sustainable Mobility, raising awareness and acceptance for this sector amongst stakeholders and societies, and creating safe moving situations and co-existence.
Digital Media Campaigns & Events
Communication Development & Awareness Creation
A weekly bicycle ride and network advocating and creating awareness for the community, road safety, inclusion, environment, and health with more than 450 members working towards behavioral change, social impact, and community development. We are reaching the masses with community bicycle rides to reclaim the streets for non-motorized transportation users and advocating for road safety using Social and Behavioural Change Communication.
